Westhill Primary school children have been staging a series of fundraising events for charity.
And yesterday the pupils took part in a supermarket sweep at the Tesco in Westhill, working in six groups to collect essential Christmas food items.
The school’s enterprise project, Cosy Dough Co, meanwhile involved pupils in the production and packing of Christmas scented play dough.
It was then sold at the local Christmas fair, earning £180, with the parent council contributing a further £60, while Tesco donated an additional £60 to the initiative, raising their total to £300.
Th P5 class collectively agreed to put all their earnings towards the Cfine food bank.
Primary teacher Claire Cooper said: “Cfine is a wonderful charity to support and the students have been motivated by the thought of helping others at Christmas.”
