Police are searching for thieves who broke into an Aberdeen garden centre and made off with thousands of pounds in food and drink.
Dobbies Garden Centre on the Lang Stracht was broken into between 2.30-4.10am yesterday morning.
Officers say alcohol and a “variety of foodstuffs” was taken – with a total value of more than £3,000.
Detective Constable John Campbell said “This is an appalling act, which will directly affect members of the public at this time of year, as well as the staff at Dobbies who work hard to have everything available ahead of Christmas.
“We are carrying out a number of inquiries into this incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.”
A Dobbies spokeswoman said: “We are liaising with the police who have launched an investigation.
“Dobbies is open as normal all weekend.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0541 of December 19.
