Officers are investigating a serious Aberdeen road crash after a woman was seriously injured.
Police are appealing to the public for information on a collision that happened at around 4pm on yesterday on Lang Stracht, near its junction with Stronsay Drive.
The crash involved a red Hyundai motor car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 69-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
The road is still closed while officers are carrying out their investigations.
Road Policing Sergeant Craig McNeill said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to get in touch with us.
“I would be particularly interested to speak to anyone who was on the Lang Stracht at the time with a dash cam as that may greatly assist our inquiries.”
