With centres in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray, the charity Avenue helps thousands of people every year.
Over the last 30 years, it has provided mediation, counselling and therapy to many.
In light of this, its former chief executive has now been made an MBE for her services to psychological support.
But Elizabeth Wallace is reluctant to take any credit for herself, praising her team for the prestigious award.
She said: “It’s very gratifying, but the recognition belongs to everyone past and present who have given their time and committed to supporting children, families and couples.
“This is really an award for everyone.”
