An Aberdeen man is the proud new owner of a custom motorbike after winning a charity raffle with an exciting prize.
James Cruickshank scooped up a Yamaha XS650 after entering the draw to support the work of Teen Challenge North East Scotland.
The charity provides support to people struggling with addiction to alcohol and drugs, helping them recover and move on.
Built by Teen Challenge’s area manager, Gordon Cruden, the bike was painted to represent the organisation’s female addiction recovery refuge, Benaiah, which is based near Mintlaw.
With the draw taking place on December 20, Mr Cruickshank was able to enjoy his prize just in time for Christmas.
The motorbike fan now has another to go alongside the motorcycle he already owns.
Mr Cruden said: “A huge congratulations to James for winning the Benaiah bike.
“He now owns a truly unique custom bike, and in the process has contributed to our work to put hope within reach of hurting addicts.”
As well as Benaiah, Teen Challenge North East Scotland operates a men’s facility, named Sunnybrae, near Fyvie.
Both of the centres have the aim of offering peaceful retreats where those struggling with substance misuse can take time out to rebuild their lives.
Globally, Teen Challenge has 1,400 centres in 125 different countries.
Their first north-east centre, Sunnybrae, was founded in 2003 and Benaiah followed in 2009.
