A team of Aberdeen businesswomen will take inspiration from Tom Cruise as they set out to tickle the tastebuds of charity supporters during an upcoming fundraiser.
Wendy Atkinson of Mattioli Woods, Sarah Hutcheon of DiveSource Ltd, and Karen Catto and Kirsty Morrison, both of Stewart Milne Group will raise money for Charlie House with a “cocktails and dreams” event.
The Aberdeen-based charity supports babies, children and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions, and their families, in the north-east.
The women are hoping to contribute thousands of pounds to the cause by staging a glamorous event with a nod to 1988 movie Cocktail, which starred Tom Cruise.
Ms Atkinson said: “We are all great supporters of the work that Charlie House does in our community, and we really felt that the time was right to create a fresh and exclusive event for the city to raise money for this deserving, local charity.
“We have some great entertainment and surprises planned for the afternoon.
“This will definitely be an event not to be missed, but with limited tickets we are urging guests to snap up tables quickly.”
There will be 300 tickets available for the exclusive afternoon on June 12.
The Marcliffe Hotel will be transformed into a Jamaican beach bar inspired by those in the global smash hit film for the occasion.
