The Deeside branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is appealing for donations to kit out a new centre near Alford.
The Aberdeenshire group is run by volunteers and is reliant on donations to provide therapy for local disabled riders.
After recently moving premises, members now want to purchase a secondhand Portakabin to provide shelter and facilities for their participants.
To buy the new building, the charity will need to raise £8,000.
As well as the fundraising campaign, Deeside RDA is looking for new volunteers to help support them on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday mornings.
Volunteer, Pat James, said: “I decided to help out after I retired 17 years ago, and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
“We would love to welcome more volunteers to the group – Once you experience the joy the riders get from being with the horses you won’t want to leave.
“This year we hope to recruit another 20 volunteers to help us keep our sessions going.”
