Five people have appeared in court after police swooped on properties across the north-east and seized about £36,000 of Class A drugs over the weekend.
A 40-year-old man from Reading appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday in connection with a raid on a property in the city’s Forest Avenue where police seized cocaine and heroin worth more than £20,000, and more than £1,000 in cash.
Maxwell Enwerem made no plea in the face of three charges, two relating to drug dealing and another for breaching bail.
His case was committed for further examination and he was released on bail.
Two other people, Dominique Livingstone, 23, and 32-year-old Ryan Ogg, also appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
The Aberdeen pair made no plea to charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs after police found cocaine and heroin valued at £3,100 at a property in Balnagask Circle in Torry on Sunday.
Ogg is also accused of drug possession.
Both were granted bail and had their cases committed for further examination.
Another two men were bailed after appearing at Peterhead Sheriff Court on drugs charges.
Adam Wilson and Jordan Woods, both 23 and from near Liverpool, made no plea in the face of drug dealing charges after police seized £13,500 of heroin and cocaine at an address in the town’s Chapel Street.
Their cases were committed for further examination.
