The incident occurred on the B9170 between Inverurie and Oldmeldrum at around 1.45pm, and involved a black BMW and a red Skoda Fabia. An ambulance spokeswoman confirmed there was one female casualty. She added: “We’ve got two crews and a sort team on scene.” It is understood three people were involved in the accident. A police spokesman said: “It happened two-and-a-half miles out of Inverurie as you head towards Oldmeldrum. One unit is out at the scene. He added: “It’s unclear the level of injuries at the moment. We’re awaiting updates from the ambulance. “We think there’s only one person being treated.” A fire service spokeswoman said they had sent two crews from Oldmeldrum and Inverurie after the alarm was raised at 2.20pm. The spokeswoman said: “We’re there but there’s nobody trapped, we’re just making the area safe.” The road is partially blocked, and traffic is being managed on scene.
