Jewellery and cash have been stolen during a spate of break-ins across Aberdeenshire.
Four homes have been targeted in the last week, with police saying the thieves made off with goods up to the value of £5,000.
The incidents happened at proeprties on St James Place and Saphock Place, both Inverurie; Pantoch Drive, Banchory; and Kirkburn in Laurencekirk between Sunday and yesterday.
Detective Inspector Grant Pert said: “I am keen to speak with anyone with any information about these crimes, all of which we believe took place during daytime hours.
“We are keeping an open mind about whether these incidents are linked.
“Any information provided to police could make a difference and help us bring these enquiries to a successful end.”
