Coastguard teams join search for missing Aberdeen woman

A multi-agency search is being carried out along the River Don for a missing Aberdeen woman.

Police and coastguard teams are searching for Yvonne Cumming who was reported missing from her home in Brimmond View, Bucksburn.

A police spokeswoman said: “We are searching the River Don in connection with missing person, Yvonne Cumming.

“We’re searching surrounding areas as well.”

Coastguard teams from Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Cruden Bay are assisting in the search.

A spokeswoman for Aberdeen Coastguard said they had assisted police yesterday and were continuing to help today.

“We’re expecting to be out searching most of the day today,” she added.
