A group of Aberdeen youngsters have travelled to Glasgow to talk to the first minister about the care system.
Young people from Barnardo’s Scotland’s care service in the north-east chatted with Nicola Sturgeon about a range of topics.
They discussed the care system, careers, education and mental health issues.
The 18 young people, aged between five and 21, also made time for some fun as they played Jenga and snakes and ladders with the prominent politician.
Barnardo’s Scotland assistant director for policy and influencing, David Ferguson, said: “The best way to deliver long-lasting, meaningful change to care services is through the voices of care-experienced young people, and so it was important they were able to speak directly with Scotland’s chief corporate parent.
“We are grateful to the first minister for being so open, engaging, and generous with her time.”
