Entries are now open for the north-east’s top HR awards event, which this year moves to Aberdeen’s multi-million-pound new entertainment venue.
The region’s top human resources teams and professionals will be recognised at the annual Cherries awards in June.
For the first time, the celebration will be held at P&J Live.
In a new award for 2020, the increasing importance of wellbeing in the workplace is reflected in its own category.
It will be one of 11 awards handed out in the 13th year of the event.
The ceremony highlights the work done by the very best individuals in organisations of all sizes and in all sectors within HR, attracting hundreds of professionals year on year.
The “exceptional wellbeing in the workplace” award will be presented to an individual or team which has developed, implemented and sustained a wellbeing strategy in their workplace over the last 12 months.
Director of category sponsors Lindsay & Lang, Fiona Lindsay, said: “This new category is a huge step in the right direction as businesses recognise the importance of employees’ positive mental health and wellbeing – and how it improves business performance.”
Another important award is for “excellent HR manager”, which will be presented to a boss who in the past year has made a clear and measurable impact on their organisation.
Helen Stuart, HR director at TAQA, one of the award sponsors, said: “Year on year these awards are a fantastic celebration of the successes of the individuals and teams that are going above and beyond in the fields of human resources, recruitment and training.”
Entry forms can be downloaded via the awards website at www.cherriesawards.co.uk or by contacting Laura Adam on laadam@dctmedia.co.uk or 01382 575308.
