Major north-east road reopens following multiple-car crash

Parts of the A90 have reopened following a three-vehicle collision earlier this afternoon.

The incident happened around 3.35pm on the Aberdeen to Peterhead road just outside Hatton.

The road was shut as an ambulance crew attended to occupants’ minor injuries.

Heavy traffic is now beginning to ease with the road reopening.

A police spokeswoman said: “We received reports of a collision involving three cars on the A90 outside Hatton around 3.35pm today.

“An ambulance crew attended and treated minor injuries, however all occupants of the vehicles are safe and well.”
