Officers in Aberdeen are urging residents to be vigilant after a spate of bike thefts.
Police have received a number of reports of high-value stolen bikes in the city centre, Rosemount, the West End, Seaton and Northfield.
In many of the incidents, they were locked using chains which could easily be cut, making them an easy target for thieves.
Inquiries into the incidents are ongoing and police are keeping an open mind as to whether they are connected.
Sergeant Andy Sawers, from the City Centre Problem Solving team, said: “It’s likely that those responsible for stealing these bikes will try to sell them on to members of the public.
“If somebody has approached you trying to sell one of these bikes in what you think might be suspicious circumstances, please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
