A woman said she was left terrified and feeling like she “was in a horror movie” when a menacing man approached her late at night in an Aberdeen car park.
Police are currently scouring CCTV as part of an ongoing investigation into the disturbing incident which took place shortly before 12.30am on Sunday.
The woman, who was getting into her car at Short Loanings in the Rosemount area, said she was shocked to find a man wearing all black clothing with a white mask approaching her.
She said: “As soon as I saw this dark figure wearing a mask, my heart just stopped and I felt like I was in a horror movie, it was just so surreal.
“I jumped back inside my car and by the time I locked the door, he was standing really close to the window gesturing for me to lower my window with his hands.
“There was no shouting, but if he had said anything, I don’t think I would have heard it through the window, but as far as I was aware he was silent, and he knew I was completely terrified.”
The woman started sounding her horn, and the man walked away.
She added: “I’ve walked home at 2am, 10pm, all times of night by myself in the area and I’ve never felt in danger, but it’s really made me feel less safe now.
“I hope people hearing about this will be a bit more vigilant and look out for this guy.”
She described the man as around 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in, overweight and possibly white.
