A north-east charity which offers free bus trips to people in need will roll out a new pilot project after receiving a £15,000 funding boost.
Buchan Dial-a-Community Bus will trial a pilot project for two months from Monday, after being pledged the cash by the Fairer Aberdeenshire Fund.
Lifts to Fraserburgh and Peterhead from Fetterangus, Strichen, Stuartfield, New Pitsligo, Maud and New Deer will be offered between 9am and 4pm as part of the scheme.
If successful, it could be continued beyond the pilot run.
The group previously carried out a questionnaire to gauge interest and identify areas which could benefit.
The results showed that users required reliable transpor to appointments, access to library services, shops, clubs or group activities and to meet friends.
For more information on the timetables, people can call the charity on 01771 619191 or email booking@belinkd.co.uk
