A firm has been chosen to deliver Aberdeen’s own festival of light.
The Spectra event will return to the streets of the Granite City this month, bathing some of the city’s most renowned architecture and landmarks in attractive light displays.
It is back for the first time in two years after council chiefs decided to “rest” the festival last year.
And a new public contract notice has revealed the Edinburgh firm Curated Places has been awarded the ÂŁ875,000 contract to host the event.
The notice said the “Scope of work includes all bookings and scheduling for artists/ work, planning, risk management, marketing, fundraising, education, community outreach and training as well as onsite events management.”
A line-up of acclaimed UK and international artists will be showing their designs around the city centre from February 13-16.
