A couple hoping to open a north-east town’s first vegan cafe say the eco-friendly business would be a “welcoming space” for the entire community.
Mark and Samantha Robb dream of opening an outlet to be known as Koffie Klub on Banff High Street to cater to people embracing healthier eating trends.
Since moving to Aberdeenshire, the couple noticed there is a “distinct lack of plant-based food on offer”, which inspired the idea.
Mr Robb said:”We’re a vegan family and, currently, the closest place from Banff we can go is somewhere in Elgin.
“The idea is for it to be more than just a coffee shop, it would be a space to host community events and one thing we have in mind is to have a yoga teacher.”
With the help of their 21-year-old daughter, Leah, the couple have launched an online campaign to raise more than £5,000 to help make their dreams become a reality.
