An Aberdeen hotel is understood to have ceased trading immediately, with all of its staff members made redundant.
Questions remain over the future of the DoubleTree by Aberdeen Hilton Treetops on Springfield Road.
The hotel’s manager told The Press and Journal that more than 70 staff members have been made redundant.
While the venue bore the Hilton name, it was not directly run by the international chain. Details of the hotel have been wiped from the brand’s website.
A spokeman from Hilton said: “DoubleTree by Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel has ceased to operate under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.
“Customers can choose from five hotels in Hilton’s portfolio, including DoubleTree by Hilton Aberdeen City Centre, within the Aberdeen area and a further 19 hotels across Scotland.”
