TV star Jon Richardson has been unveiled as the headline act for the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival.
The 8 Out Of 10 Cats regular will bring his self-deprecating humour to the Music Hall on October 10.
He has also appeared on TV on programmes including Would I Lie To You, Have I Got News For You and Dave’s Ultimate Worrier, and on a number of radio shows including Radio 4’s Act Your Age.
The stand-up star joins Gary Meikle and Tez Ilyas as acts already announced as part of the north-east festival.
Adrian Watson, chief executive of organisers Aberdeen Inspired, said: “The Aberdeen International Comedy Festival has fast become a firm favourite in the north-east, attracting not just locals but visitors from further afield.
“Attracting a name like Jon Richardson is a huge coup for us and we can’t wait to welcome him to the Granite City for the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival.
“We are looking forward to more exciting announcements in coming months.
“With festivals like this, now one of Scotland big three comedy festivals, and of course the upcoming Nuart Aberdeen and others in the city like Spectra this weekend, Aberdeen is truly establishing itself as a destination of choice and there’s never been a better time to enjoy everything the city has to offer.”
Tickets for Jon Richardson: The Knitwit are priced at £25.50 and go on sale at 9.30am today.
