Stonehaven’s ever popular Midsummer Beer Happening is back for another year, with tickets going on sale today.
Organisers expect them to be snapped up swiftly for the celebration of brewing, which also offers award-winning food and some outstanding musical performances.
The three-day event, held in a purpose-built marquee in Stonehaven’s Baird Park, will run from Thursday, June 18 to Saturday, June 20.
Organiser Robert Lindsay said: “Everyone loves a great weekend – and they don’t come much better than the Midsummer Beer Happening.
“Almost as soon as last year’s event – which attracted 6,000 people – was wrapping up, we had folk clamouring to buy tickets for 2020.”
This year’s Happening will showcase 140 hand-picked beers from across the UK, continent and further afield.
There will also be an al fresco food court featuring an array of award-winning street food vendors.
And once again, the festival will have a rich music line-up to keep the those in attendance entertained with the best the north-east bands and musicians.
In addition to offering people a good time, the Happening always strives to do good.
It is a not-for-profit event and last year raised £52,000 for local good causes. This year’s charities will be announced at a later date.
