The theft took place around 5.30pm on Thursday, when a white and grey supreme Elddis Avante Caravan was taken from Cumminstown. At the time, the caravan bore the registration plate SD67VWH, though this may since have been removed or replaced. Last night the force issued an appeal for anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area to get in touch. PC Megan McDonald of the Ellon policing team said: “Officers have been carrying out inquiries in the area. “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the caravan or anyone acting suspiciously around the area, to contact us. “The caravan may have been taken elsewhere in Scotland. Please report any sightings to police by calling 101.” Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
