An Aberdeen care home has been criticised after inspectors found “increased levels of conflict” among residents.
Officials from the Care Inspectorate carried out an unannounced visit to Bob Cooney Court last month.
The findings of their inspection, which were published yesterday, said: “There continued to be reports of increased levels of conflict between some of the people living at the accommodation.”
It added: “There was a lack of structure, stimulation and opportunities for people – this could contribute to conflict between people living at the service.”
The residence was awarded a rating of ‘adequate’ for supporting people’s wellbeing, and ‘good’ for planning of care and support.
Craig Roger, Aberdeen city south branch leader of Cornerstone Community Care, which runs the home, said: “We are aware the previous management structure had been over-stretched and now have a new team leader in post at Bob Cooney Court which is already impacting positively on the service.”
