One person has been taken to hospital following a crash.
Officers arrived at the scene at the A92 near Portlethen at around 7.20pm.
They then closed the road at around 8.40pm.
A police spokesman said he did not have the details of the vehicle type or the injuries suffered in the crash although it is understood an ambulance is on the scene.
A post online read: ” Police Scotland would like to advise drivers that the North and Southbound slip roads from the A90 into Portlethen, Marywell roundabout is closed due to a road traffic collison, the A92 from Mosside Avenue to the Marywell Roundabout is also closed.
“Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.”
A fire service spokeswoman said they were not in attendance.
One person has been taken to hospital but their condition is unknown.
