A radical reshuffle of top Aberdeen council roles could be made at next Monday’s crunch meeting of all councillors.
Members will be asked for their suggestions for the positions of lord provost, depute provost, leader or co-leaders, depute leader, business manager and depute business manager.
The shake-up has been prompted by a senior administration member’s recent resignation.
Former Conservative depute lord provost Alan Donnelly resigned from his position and party following his conviction for sexual assault.
He was later replaced by independent councillor Jennifer Stewart.
Opposition groups, the SNP and Liberal Democrats, will also put forward their suggestions for the top roles.
Under council rules, only 19 can hold senior positions.
Councillors are also recommended to approve new committee placings during next Monday’s meeting.
The ruling Conservative, Aberdeen Labour and independent administration currently has a combined 22 members.
Donnelly sits as an unaligned independent.
