An Aberdeenshire gym has raised hundreds of pounds for charity after organising a pole-dancing session.
1 Life Gym in Inverurie hosted a fundraiser with a difference, where its male members went out of their comfort zone to take part in a pole-dancing event.
The fundraising evening raised money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Male members of the gym were guided by gym owner Shama Rafiq throughout the proceedings, and a raffle also helped bolster money raised.
Ms Rafiq said: “It was a fantastic event and so lovely to see everyone come together and help raise some awareness.
“We had over 60 people turn up on the night and tons of people who donated raffle prizes, it was really nice.
“There was even some men in the audience who said they wished they had taken part.”
Ms Rafiq added that plans were in place for a similar fundraiser next year and it could potentially be paired with a fashion show.
She added: “Hopefully next year will be bigger and better.
“All the guys were exhausted today but I’d like to hope they’ll remember it for a while.”
