The alarm was raised at a property in Fetterangus, north of Mintlaw, just after 4.15pm. Two engines were required to tackle the flames, with one being sent from Peterhead and the other from Maud. It is not thought anyone was injured. A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “They required two hose reel jets and two sets of breathing apparatus. “A thermal image camera was also used.” The flames were extinguished shortly before 5pm.
