Police are warning home owners to be vigilant following a break-in at a property in Aberdeenshire.
Officers received reports to the break-in yesterday afternoon around 3.15pm, at a property in the Montrose Road area of Inverbervie.
The premises was found to be secure but the rear glazed doors were broken. A quantity of jewellery was taken.
Detective Sergeant William Murdoch, of Aberdeen CID, is appealing for anyone with information to get in touch and encouraging home owners to be aware.
He said: “Inquiries are progressing and we are keeping an open mind as to whether this incident is connected to others in the area.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw or heard any unusual or suspicious activity to contact police as soon as possible.
“I would take this opportunity to remind residents to review your home security and ensure all doors, especially patio doors, are secured, as well as to check around your homes that all entry and exit points are properly secured.”
Police can be contacted by calling 101.
