A drop-in session will be held in Turriff this month seeking views on improving access to the Haughs.
Aberdeenshire Council has been awarded £30,000 from Sustran’s Scotland Places for Everyone fund to undertake the concept design phase of the Haughs improved access project.
The overall aim of the scheme is to encourage more walking and cycling journeys in the area.
Now a drop-in session will be held to allow locals to view the designs and give their feedback on March 25 at Turriff Sports Centre from 2.30pm-7pm.
Aberdeenshire Council’s Formartine area manager Elaine Brown urged people to share their opinions at an upcoming drop-in session – but stressed there was “no guarantee” to the project’s future at this stage.
She said: “While there is no guarantee to securing the funding to implement this project, this is the first stage of the journey to attempt to get the required funding and we need people to engage.
“I would encourage as many people as possible to come along to the drop-in session and take the opportunity to view the proposals and provide feedback on them.”
