A nursery in a north-east village has been praised by inspectors.
Port Erroll School Nursery, which is located within the primary school at Cruden Bay, has been hailed by inspectors for making children and families feel welcome.
During the inspection in January, parents were given questionnaires on which to record their thoughts.
One parent said: “I have been utterly delighted with the nursery environment, competence and individual care given by nursery staff members – and the variety of topics covered that are of interest to my children”
Inspectors rated the quality of management and leadership at the nursery as adequate.
They urged the headteacher to implement “robust monitoring and evaluation of the nursery” to ensure that it continues to improve.
