Shops in Union Square and the Bon Accord Centre have closed in the wake of the global Coronavirus pandemic.
Fashion retailers The North Face and Hollister shut the doors to their Union Square premises today as a precaution against the respiratory illness.
The Apple store there ran a reduced service for customers seeking repairs, after the technology giant announced all its stores would close outside of Greater China on Saturday.
Restaurant chain Cosmo, which also operates a Union Square venue, will be closed from next Monday.
A spokeswoman from Union Square said: “The health and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues, and partners is our utmost priority.
“We continue to follow Government and public health authority advice and best practice on Coronavirus.
“Please be reassured that we have stepped up our already high standards of hygiene at Union Square.
“We have installed additional sanitisers in public areas and are conducting additional deep cleaning of our toilet facilities and main customer touch points.
“Our actions will be led by the Government and the public health authority and when that advice changes, we will update and amend our policies as necessary.”
The Disney store in the city centre’s Bon Accord shopping centre also closed as a health and safety measure as a result of Coronavirus fears.
