An Aberdeen restaurant has become another casualty of the latest government advice on coronavirus.
Maggie’s Grill on Holburn Street is to close “with immediate effect”, in light of the prime minister’s warning for the public to now avoid pubs and restaurants to slow the spread of the infection.
It follows news that eight venues in Aberdeen, owned by PB Devco, are to close “until further notice” in light of Boris Johnson’s daily briefing.
Taking to Facebook last night, the Maggie’s Grill management said: “With a very heavy heart we are closing to the public with immediate effect.
“With the public and our own staff safety in mind, and in respect to recent government announcements, we have made the very difficult decision to stop serving food to our cherished and loved customers within our premises here on Holburn Street.
“We will keep you updated with any further developments.”
Soon after, Aberdeen Performing Arts announced it would be temporarily closing His Majesty’s Theatre, the Music Hall and The Lemon Tree with immediate effect.
