Pupils at Uryside School in Inverurie have been bouncing in a bid to raise much needed funds for new sporting equipment.
After discussion and consideration of a number of ideas, it was decided that having the whole school active and having fun by ‘bouncing’ for the whole day to celebrate the arrival of Spring.
A target of around £4,000 has been set and would enable the school to purchase football goals, basket ball and netball equipment for our outdoor Multi Use Games Area.
Headteacher, Kim Dodd, said: “We are very grateful to all parents, carers, families and members of the community who have supported us either by helping or by sponsoring pupils.
“All donations will contribute towards the development of our sports provision – not just for learning experiences in school but for extra-curricular and community engagement events.”
The bouncing began from 9am with more than 350 pupils taking part – with a couple of teachers having a go as well.
Donations can be made by calling the school on 01467 536800.
