Aberdeen Harbour has said it is still “fully operational” and welcoming new business, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
The organisation’s board has said strict protocols are in place to help protect everyone involved from the spread of Covid-19.
This includes staff working at the port, all personnel on vessels docked in the harbour and the wider general public.
Aberdeen Harbour plays an integral part of Scotland’s national infrastructure, and it has said it will continue to provide “lifeline” supplies including fuel to both the Northern Isles and offshore facilities.
A spokeswoman said: “All staff are key workers and are to be applauded for currently working above and beyond to ensure continuity of supplies and services.
“We all have concerns and worries in this unprecedented period but we are all working together to continue to fulfil our duties as effectively as we can and to contribute to the wellbeing of the country at this unsettling time.”
