Aberdeen hospital staff have been given temporary on-street parking permits.
Some workers at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary will receive free temporary on-street parking permits to ensure they can get parked during coronavirus.
The council has handed 200 permits to NHS Grampian to decide which staff should receive the permits.
A similar agreement has been arranged with Aberdeenshire Council for staff to park at Woodhill House.
On-street parking permits are usually only for residents as the hospital, which is based in the Foresterhill area of the city, has dedicated staff parking.
In light of the current situation, NHS Grampian has lifted all parking restrictions on the site, with the exception of blue badge spaces and emergency access/exits.
This includes the Lady Helen Parking Centre, which is now open for patients and staff alike.
The hospital staff receiving the on-street permits will be allowed to park within both residents’ parking only bays and pay and display bays.
We wholeheartedly welcome this decision from Aberdeen City Council. Exact arrangements on how these passes will be…
