Police are urging parents to ensure their children are remaining indoors and abiding by social distancing rules, following reports that groups of youths have been roaming the streets at night.
Many have reported seeing crowds of youngsters in Aberdeen late into the evening, particularly in the southern suburb of Cove Bay.
Public gatherings of more than two people who do not live together are currently banned.
Michele McPartlin, chairwoman of Cove and Altens Community Council, said it was a “very real concern” that children are continuing to congregate en mass outside.
Sergeant John McOuat, from the Nigg Community Policing Team, said: “My officers and I would continue to stress the importance of all to follow the current guidance on social distancing and self-isolation.
“I would also urge those in charge of children to impress upon their youngsters the importance of same, for the safety of all in our communities.”
