The southbound Balmedie to Newburgh road was closed for four hours following the crash at 9pm on Friday. A 46-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to minor injuries. The road reopened to motorists around 1am today after the vehicles had been recovered. A90 Balmedie Jct (B977) – Newburgh Road Jct (A975) – Closure, All lanes closed Southbound https://t.co/Sr0nuj2t6F #TSIncident — Traffic Scotland (@trafficscotland) March 27, 2020 A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a two car crash on the A90 near Balmedie around 9pm. “Scottish Ambulance service were also in attendance and a 46-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to minor injury. “The road was closed for around four hours to allow for recovery of the vehicles and reopened at 1am. “A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
