Aberdeenshire Council are calling for town improvement project and volunteer schemes to apply for a share of £80,000.
Applications are now open for any groups, organisations or schemes across Banff and Buchan.
The Banff and Buchan Area Initiatives Fund of £80,000 has been set up to support local groups that meet the needs of their communities by tapping into talent and resources that exist in the area.
Individual projects could be awarded funding of up to £10,000.
Applications for the first round must be submitted by May 29 and are acceptable if submitted by constituted groups with the aim of delivering a project.
The idea has to follow the lines of improving the appearance and maintenance of towns, building safer and stronger communities, supporting health and active lifestyles, tackling poverty and inequality, improving transport and connectivity or boosting educational development.
