Firefighters were called to a blaze at a grassy area near Macduff. Crews from Banff and Macduff worked to extinguish the fire at Hill o Doun around 1.30pm today. A live video from the scene on Facebook shows the area well alight with smoke spreading across the town. A spokeswoman said: “We received reports of a fire at Hill of Doun near Macduff at 1.29pm. “Two appliances, one from Macduff and one from Banff, were dispatched returned once the fire was extinguished around 2pm.” More to follow.
