A popular north-east flower show has been cancelled due to covid-19.
The Stuartfield Flower and Produce Show, which attracts visitors from all over Scotland, has been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus.
The show would have taken place at the village hall in Stuartfield on August 17 – however, the flower show committee decided they didn’t want to put the health of their visitors and exhibitors and risk.
Joint secretary of the Flower Show, Patsy Cumming said: “It’s a popular show that attracts many a visitor from far and wide, we’re lucky that we’ve been able to run the show for so many years but we’ve decided this year that it just wouldn’t be safe.”
The Stuartfield Flower and Produce Show has been running around 47 years and the committee intend for the show to return next year.
