NHS Grampian launches Covid-19 website with health information for staff and general public

NHS Grampian has launched a new website aimed at ensuring healthcare staff and the general public have access to everything they need to know about the coronavirus pandemic.

The page draws together staff briefings, service updates and key health information, and is updated regularly.

While it is split into sections for the public, staff and self-care, each part is open for anyone to read.

There is also a dedicated contact page to allow people to leave feedback or ask questions.

It is available at: covid19.nhsgrampian.org

NHS Grampian nurse director Caroline Hiscox said: “So much information is being shared and updated in the current circumstances that we wanted to create one dedicated place for all that content.

“As an organisation, NHS Grampian is committed to being open and sharing as much detail as we can.

“We recognise many of our staff don’t have time to look at emails during the day, so this site is a one-stop-shop for them.

“We also know people working from home may not be able to access our usual internal communication channels, so we share our daily staff brief on the website as well.”

Dr Derek Cox, consultant in public health medicine, said: “This site is not a replacement for NHS Inform – that should still be people’s first port of call if they need health information and advice.

“However, we know people want to know what we are doing locally and we hope this site provides that.

“We welcome feedback on the content, particular if people feel there is information they want that we are not providing.”
