Police have arrested a 30-year-old male in connection with a break in at Macduff Lighthouse.
A safety feature was damaged at the property during the break-in that happened between 6am and 5:20pm yesterday.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Skene, CID, said: “It has been reported that damage has been caused to Macduff Lighthouse sometime between 6am and 5:20pm yesterday.
“This is a critical safety feature for Macduff Harbour.
“I would encourage anyone with further information in relation to this incident to contact police.”
