Profits from the sale of some striking rainbow dog collars are helping to support a north-east animal charity.
Owner of Stella Accessories, Mairi Robb, is selling the one-off collars to support Mrs Murray’s Home for Stray Dogs and Cats.
The Aberdeen-based animal charity closed its doors to the public until further notice last month to follow COVID-19 restrictions.
Mrs Robb said: “I knew of Mrs Murray’s from being in the dog industry and we really wanted to help a small local charity that may be struggling to raise the necessary funds to care for their animals through all this COVID-19 mayhem.
“Regular fundraising events of course have not gone ahead and we thought our donations would go some way to help.”
The collars are priced at £24 each and are available in all sizes.
From each sale, £12 goes to the charity, a small profit of £3 helping Stella’s Accessories to purchase the materials needed to make more collars.
In the first three days of the fundraising campaign, £180 was raised for the charity.
Mrs Robb is originally from Banchory but has recently moved to Edinburgh. The online business still has a large following in the north-east.
