A DJ night will take place this May Day weekend to raise money for foodbank charity CFine and NHS Together Charities.
The event is being hosted by Aberdeen-based DJs and promoters, All Night Passion and Rare, with Scottish and international artists taking part in the live stream from 4pm-midnight on Sunday.
Rory Mason, co-founder of Rare, said: “May Day Live aims to lift spirits during this lockdown whilst raising funds for charities who help the most vulnerable in our society.
“Through a collaborative effort of DJs and visual artists, we have put together eight hours of carefully curated acts for everyone at home to dance to and enjoy this May Sunday.”
All Night Passion previously hosted a successful DJ night for CFine in April which raised more than £1,300.
The charity’s chief executive, Lisa Duthie, said: “CFine is grateful for the initiative of All Night Passion, Rare, and the other artists contributing to Sunday’s event.
“I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who donated to the live stream appeal in April or will do so this weekend.
“As a result of the coronavirus outbreak, the need for our emergency food services tripled. CFine is distributing over 1,500 emergency food parcels weekly with the help of our partners. The funds raised through the May Day Live will go a long way supporting CFine’s cause and the fantastic NHS Together Charities.”
