A kind-hearted Inverurie man has taken it upon himself to cheer up NHS staff.
Ryan Johnson, 23, typically works as a member pioneer for the Co-op, and is responsible for spurring change in the community.
Last week, he helped support a fundraising drive at the Inverurie Co-op that raised
nearly £1,140 for local causes the Chalmers Musical Theatre, Fly Cup Cafe and Home Start Garioch.
And now, after seeing the dedication of key workers through his colleagues in the supermarket and friends in the NHS, he has coordinated a special delivery of chocolates and sweets to staff at Inverurie Hospital.
He said: “We should all support key workers at this tough time, and I’ve seen how well my Co-op colleagues have been doing.
“I have friends in the NHS, and I can’t imagine how hard things must be for hospital staff.
“I thought some chocolates could be something to help them treat themselves and relax after a long day.
“I got a variety of things, like Quality Streets and Celebrations, things they wouldn’t typically by themselves.”
