Over £3 million has been announced for local community groups as part of the latest round of National Lottery funding.
The money will be shared across 282 groups in Scotland and as the coronavirus crisis impacts communities, many of the charities and voluntary organisations will be using theirs awards to provide support and advice to people who need it most.
Aberdeen charity Cfine received £10,000 to support its food delivery service, which is helping vulnerable people in the community, and increase the scale of their work to meet demand during the pandemic.
Lisa Duthie, chief executive of the charity, said: “We are delighted to be awarded this funding from National Lottery Awards for All.
“This money will help us maintain vital support services for individuals and families facing difficulty in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire during the coronavirus outbreak and beyond.”
There are five other groups sharing £46,006 of funding in Aberdeen, while 11 groups will receive funding in the Highlands, including Inverness Foodstuff, The Libertie Project Limited, Welcome Ullapool and No Limits Caithness.
Four voluntary organisations in Shetland will also receive a share of the money, with Voluntary Action Shetland awarded £10,000, Livister Youth and Community Centre receiving £7,200 and West Burrafirth Community Broadband Group given £4,379.
There was a further £3,300 for the Bop Shop.
Funding across the country will total £3,384,222.
