Cancer charity Friends of Anchor is challenging the public to get active this month.
Supporters of all ages, abilities and fitness levels are being encouraged to walk, run, cycle, skate or even scoot to help cover the 2,600 miles it supports people in.
Fundraising and marketing assistant Naomi Forrest said: “We provide direct support to patients in Aberdeen city and shire, Moray, Orkney and Shetland – and if you were to take a map and draw a big circle around these areas, it would measure an epic 2,600 miles.
“We’re hoping lots of people will get involved to help us clock up the miles and go the distance for cancer and haematology patients in the north-east, who need support now more than ever.”
Each participant will be given a mileage calendar to track their progress and access to a dedicated online community to share their stories and photos.
Donations can be made per person or per household to get involved in the Go The Distance campaign.
