A north-east football team will take part in a 24-hour running challenge for their local foodbank.
Fraserburgh United is taking part in the Locos’ 24 Hour Charity Club Run Challenge in an effort to raise cash for the Salvation Army food bank.
Starting at 7am on Friday, 24 club members will have an hour to run as far as they can.
They will use the Strava app to track the distance and where each person is running during the challenge.
The team’s progress will be uploaded on social media throughout the day and they will complete their challenge at 7am on Saturday.
Captain Blair Tait said: “Some other local teams like Deveronvale have already done this challenge too and our manager thought it’d be a good idea for us to do the same.”
Already the team has raised more than £,1400 – smashing their original target of £500.
Mr Tait added: “The Fraserburgh Salvation Army Foodbank is a great local cause and they’ve supported a lot of people at this difficult time.”
