Police are investigating after youths broke into a north-east bowling club and made off with a ball, after putting a jack down the drain.
Several items were stolen from the shed at the West End Bowling Club in Fraserburgh earlier this month.
Police yesterday visited properties in the surrounding area to see if residents had captured anything suspicious on their home security systems.
The club’s treasurer, Monica Lindsay, said it was lucky that the incident did not result in any extensive damage.
Mrs Lindsay said: “The CCTV shows shadows of youths taking a few items from the shed.”
Fraserburgh and District councillor, Brian Topping, added: “I hope the culprit is caught and brought to justice.
“With instances like this, it feels like there are people taking advantage of lockdown with there not being as many people around to see something like this happening.”
